Volunteers are most appreciated
It has been roughly nine months since I started as the director of the nursery. I feel that the children have adjusted very well to the schedule we have in place. The schedule allows for learning, growth and fun.

I am still in need of volunteers to help, so that the staff can attend church biweekly. Even if you do not have any children in the nursery, we welcome you to volunteer. Please consider this opportunity to share your qualities with our smallest parishioners.

The role of the volunteer is to be another set of eyes and hands. The nursery begins with dance time, followed by role call and songs and prayers. The staff provides and administers the lesson plan with the bible story and the corresponding coloring sheets. This is followed by snack time and then they can "free play" until their parents arrive. All the parents are required to pick up their children prior to communion so that the volunteers can also attend communion.

It has been a blessing to watch and care for the children. I invite and welcome any suggestions or ideas to help improve our nursery.
